Kokosing Campground, operated by the Fredericktown Recreation District, is located is about 10 miles north of Mount Vernon and 3.5 miles west of Fredericktown, Ohio on Waterford Road. The campground offers 46 sites, with 42 being electric and 4 strictly primitive. We offer RV and tent camping, a large picnic area, a playground, and a two-lane boat ramp. A shower house with flush toilets is on premises. Ice, bait, snacks, and firewood are available at the campground registration office. Wildlife is abundant, and the 185-acre lake offers some great fishing. Hunters are also permitted during season, and the campgrounds is flanked by public hunting areas. Hunting on campground property is prohibited.
