The Fredericktown Recreation District was organized in 1980. Since that time we have seen tremendous growth and expansion in both area and services. The FRD is a Joint Recreation District and encompasses the same geographical area as the Fredericktown Local School District. We now have approximately 130 acres in the Park District. We serve almost nine thousand people in our district and operate on a 1.5 mil levy supported by the residents of the District. Much of the growth and expansion in the parks are due to the “we can do in a small town” attitude.
The parks are developed and maintained at the current level today due to the help, generosity and support of local groups, organizations, businesses and individuals.

Any changes to a meeting, or any special meetings, will be posted on the doorway to the office 24 hours in advance. They will also be posted to the Recreation District Facebook page, and this website.
PUBLIC NOTICE:
The Fredericktown Recreation District Board of Directors have moved the regular scheduled meeting for Wednesday, September 10, 2025 to Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Meeting time will be 7:00pm located at the Fredericktown Recreation District office, 12 Mill Street, Fredericktown, OH.
